Boxing day

We had a fine little Christmas. Guess we had too much food and watched too much TV. Boxing day, second day of Christmas was so much nicer then yesterday. We started with a nice long walk, we really needed that. Being outside and the weather being so gentle, just makes you happy.

Hope you all had a good Christmas. We leave some of our Christmas decoration for the next couple of weeks. This year we are really into fairy lights in a big way. Sometimes you want to leave them all year through.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend,
Kay

Swan market Rotterdam

We visited the Swan market in Rotterdam for some last minute Christmas shopping and to visit Foekje Fleur. I'm a big fan of her work and already got a small collection of her ceramic bottles.

It was the first time that we visited the winter edition of the market, which was hosted in the Van Nelle Factory. We love that building.

How are you all getting on with your Christmas shopping?

see you,
Kay

PS:  It was also lovely to talk to Michael van Kekem, who had some amazing stuf for sale.

Christmas time in Amsterdam

Had a nice little walk in town yesterday.
But also all the Christmas lights and decoration
make the town so pretty.
Perfect time for some long winter walks.
see you soon,
Kay

hibernating

Hibernating... got a couple of new books. Now I just want to stay at my couch and read. Still very much behind with my Christmas shopping. Hope you're all doing a lot better then me, lol. Most of my gifts I will buy in local small shops but there is one web shop I really love: the future kept.

Wishing you all a fine weekend,
Kay

PS:
I know where I want to have my Christmas party this year... Kettners.

December

Still dreaming about snow but the weather has been so mild the last couple of weeks, guess I should just keep dreaming about a white Christmas.

My mum send me a Christmas parcel every year. Homemade Christmas decoration made with branches from her garden and some fairy lights. I love those family traditions.

Enjoy your weekend,
Kay

PS: Tonight we celebrate... Sinterklaas. Looking forward to have a nice family Christmas.
